Jews for Jesus - Sun Nov 22, 9am

Please join us this Sunday, November 22nd, at 9:00am for our Guest Speaker   Aaron Trank   who will be visiting us and sharing the Hanukkah Message   We hope to see you here to listen to his biblically based presentation that is dynamic, professional and Christ centered.     Jews for Jesus is an agency that proclaims that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world. The late Moishe Rosen, a Jew who has believed in Jesus for over 35 years, founded the organization. However, Dr. Rosen was quick to point out that he did not "start" Jews for Jesus, which began about 2,000 years ago, around 32 C.E., give or take a year. Jesus' first disciples were Jewish, and there have been some Jewish people that have believed in him ever since.   To the Jews for Jesus, believing in Jesus makes sense in light of the Jewish Bible and in light of their experience as "believers". For those who argue that Christianity contradicts the meaning of Judaism, the Jews for Jesus say there are answers.   We will also have a separate free will offering to help with the ongoing work at Jews for Jesus

An after school program for girls and boys We have just a few spaces still available Exciting after school program is happening at Calvary.  Mrs. Rucker is having an after school program for boys and girls for students 1st through 8th grade.   Hip-Hop  ~  Jazz  ~  Praise Dance Classes being Monday, November 2nd Grades 1st - 4th  -  Mondays, 3:05 p.m. - 4:05 p.m. Grades 5th - 8th  -  Wednesdays, 3:05 - 4:05 p.m. Program includes: - Professional dance instruction in a safe and fun atmosphere - Performance opportunities - The Destined 2 Dance experience brought to you instead of you driving to the     studio, or having to pick them up right after school. - Increase self-esteem, meet new friends, get physically fit - Classes taught from a Christian perspective - An extra-curricular activity that fits your schedule and budget! Canned food drive collection

Calvary Lutheran School is collecting canned and non-perishable food to donate to the   San Lorenzo Community Food Bank   We will be collecting items here in the office up to the 12th of November and will be delivering the collected items on the 13th.     Please bring any items you would like to donate to the school office on or before Thursday, November 12th   Thank you for your support
